In the short essay, Walker shows her affection for Hurston, she explains how she read basically all her books, and even continues to point out multifarious feelings for Hurston.
Of course Hurston is an amazing artist who was dedicated to her works, and can even be easily seen by simply going out and reading a amazing book like Their Eyes Were Watching God, of course you can be a fanatic about Hurston's works and go read Dust Tracks on the Road, Jonah's Gourd Vine, Moses,Man of the Mountain, and so on. Either way one can reach out to Hurston as she pulls the respected audience; exactly why Walker went to such extent to go "Sherlock Holmes" style and discover her grave, and make it something memorable till this day, Hurston sure does deserve it.
Walker realizes why Hurston has not obtained a proper burial, things from the present does not reflect the past at all, except for the settings that Hurston describes in one of her book; as time goes on things change, and that is exactly what has happened. Same thing goes for Fitzgerald, he was not recognized the way he should have been in his era, it's like significance takes time to settle in.

Sensing the Hidden
After boasting this way of tolerance,
you come to the admission that it has a limit.
Conduct may be founded on the hard rock or the wet marshes,
but after a certain point what it’s founded on is not of care.
From the East last autumn the world was needed to be in uniform and forever moral attention ;
wanting no more riotous excursions;
privileged glimpses of human heart begin to appear.
Exempt from reaction
everything was represented by an unaffected scorn.
Personality is an unbroken series of successful gestures,
something gorgeous,
something heightened,
sensitivity to the promises of life,
its sense can be registered ten thousand miles away.(Fitzgerald 6)

All About the Money...?
I find this interesting, who would marry for money? Greedy people? Obviously I find it selfish to go for someone just for there money, it is the exact same as going after someone just for there looks. Why would you deceive someones feelings for your own enjoyment. People have feelings and when you go after someone for the things they have except for going after the person for his or her qualities, it not only degrades yourself but it in the end you are holding someone on a web full of lies. "You only live once," Yes, an over used phrase, but think about it, people only live once and do you really think that they would want to live in reality or your lies.
I for one would never marry someone for money, personality is the biggest factor when looking for someone. Yes looks play a little part; having a pretty wife is always nice, but the personality always plays the biggest factor. Maybe that's just me, but honestly I think that's how it should be, spouses loving each other for who they are and not what they have. People of today always refer to other people being corrupted; husband or wife, they are only with their spouse for the things other than for whole they truly are. Corrupted much? umm yeah! Don't be a "monkey see monkey do" and be like everyone else, be true to your future partner, don't crush others peoples life for your own greed!

Looks Deceive
Looks are very deceptive, you always hear people saying "never judge a book by its cover" and that is 100% true. Just because someone looks ugly doesn't mean you have to go out and be mean to him, or just completely ignore him, and I find this very interesting because more than half the people out there say that they honestly don't judge people by their looks, but yet they still do it. The same can go for people that are beautiful, even though they may be pretty , you can never tell how their personality is going to be, and that's the problem with society today, we see someone and we are like "Oh, shes so amazing and beautiful..." or "Oh my god, that guy is so hot and amazing...". Both genders are deceived so easily in today's time and I find it to be very foolish, and idiotic when one does judge. Everyone judges no matter what, I am not going to lie , even i judged someone, I'm not going to say I don't because there is going to be a few occasions in life here you are going to judge someone, even if you don't notice it. I despise people who judge intentionally, because not only are you bringing down their self esteem , and the respect you have for yourself. When people judge they are judging to bring up their own self esteem and that is just sad, very degrading. Don't judge someone by their cover, it's not cool at all , respect people and respect yourself.

Assimilation.... "Creation and Destruction"
Assimilation, Assimilation mean to "absorb" or "blend together" into one. Everyone assimilates, one can't simply say he or she does not assimilate. If you think about it all assimilating means is for one to "absorb" or to even "blend". When kids go to school they attempt to fit in by assimilating each others actions and expressing them so they can feel like someone, as for the people who are setting the examples they are the ones spreading into the "wider community" allowing others to absorb hence why i explained that assimilation means to "blend".
In the book "A Raisin in the Sun" Beneatha assimilates but hates when it is pointed out. Mama points out how she assimilates, even though it was not a direct quote actually saying something like "Beneatha u are assimilating!" it had the idea if Beneatha assimilations.
In my past I have always assimilate, hell I assimilate now. So I think of myself as a nerd, not technically a school nerd but more like a computer nerd. As I grew with the gaming community i started assimilating the ideas of a gamer;I wanted to first be a programmer and now a Gaming designer. It shows that i started picking up ideas from the company behind these games and what they do for a living. I start to ponder as they assimilate their ideas to my mind through these games, like wouldn't it just be amazing if I had a game i worked on in the shops around the world, it just amazing how the gaming community works. I love to think about things like this because maybe one day i can a assimilate certain ideas into the community as well.
Thing about Assimilation , it can be viewed in different ways, as long as something is being spread or being absorbed. Eric Liu a "Assimilationist" rather said. Assimilationist being rather specific about what he's assimilating to. By assimilationist i am referring to a person who advocate or participates in racial or cultural integration. Eric Liu, a Chinese American, who assimilated towards the white people and then started assimilating the traits and culture to the whites to the people he knew. Like Eric Liu said assimilation is "... a(n) act of creation as much as destruction."

Me,me,me!!
When i began to think about me and my family i start to think two things, who is more important in life and whats the smarter decision. My brother and I are going to be the first one to graduate from college and I start to wonder if i should be more worried about my family when i leave to college or be more worried about myself, and the answer is myself.
Family is very important but when it comes to seeing whats going to be more beneficial , you start to see the big picture. If i can get myself into college and graduate and get a great career than it benefits both me and my family because not only do i have more times on my hands because i don't have to worry about school but i'm also going to be making a lot more money than before, i'll finally have a decent career, or maybe even better.
So in the long run thinking about me will help me more than going straight for family. See don't get me wrong i'm a huge family person but i would rather put my career first than fail in life. My dreams mean everything to me and i don't plan on dropping them to go chase after something i'm looking for.

The American Dream
The American Dream, Well there's many "American Dreams" but in particular my American Dream is to first off graduate High school , with being part of the top 5% in the graduating class of 2014. I want to move out the second i get out of high school, not only so i can have freedom , but i want to know how it feels to live on my own, i want to take on the responsibility. After I graduate i want to go to UTSA or CSULB, my main goal is to go to UTSA graduate with a computer science major than go straight to SMU Guild hall so i can get field experience with gaming design and even get my certificate, so i can go into one of the major league gaming companies like NCsoft, Bioware, Gearbox, EME, Sony, and the list goes on forever.
Well that is my American Dream, i really don't want to go into my fuill american dream because the list will just go on with what i want to do with my life, what my american dram is. For the most part i just want to go down the computer science field and get a PhD for gaming design, that is my main goal, that is my AMERICAN DREAM!
